What is an avalanche

When mountain snow fall, sometimes they are like a heap of cement that has not yet curdled and flow slowly, occasionally some obstacles block the way. Sometimes a lot of snow sliding or collapse roar down, with a strong air flow, a rare slab avalanches will form. The soft flakes fall to the leeward slope and these snows are not as compacted as snow at the foot of mountains and there will be a small gap on the leeward slope. It feels hard and safe, but the slightest interference, such as the sound of a rifle, can cause snowslide. Solid snowflakes fell. The snowflakes in this case have a deceptive solid surface; sometimes utter a rumbling sound when walking on it. It is often caused by a sudden drop of wind and temperature. The movement of the climbers and skiers is like a trigger that can cause the entire snow block or a large amount of dangerous ice to fall.

In a cold and dry environment, a steady stream of new snow falls on the already solid surface of the ice, which can cause snowflakes to fall, falling at a rate of 90 meters per second. Covering mouth and nose is also a chance to survive, which can cause death by inhaling a large amount of snow after being submerged.

The avalanche can be prevented by artificial control. After people have learned many lessons, there are some precautions against avalanches. For example, firing shells into some dangerous areas, carrying out explosions, early triggering avalanche without too much snow, setting up special people to monitor and forecast avalanches, etc. Such as the Alps surrounding countries, Norway, Iceland, Japan, the United States and Canada and other developed countries where avalanches occur frequently have established a special organization, with specialized monitoring staff to explore its natural laws of forming and preventing measures.
