1.Understand the weather forecast and grasp the direction of the typhoon as early as possible

Before the arrival of the typhoon, the meteorological department will make an accurate forecast of the mobile path, landing site, and landing time and wind and rain intensity of the typhoon center. Therefore, it is the most effective way to grasp the weather forecast and master the moving direction of typhoons timely to avoid typhoons.

2.Move before the typhoon comes

The best way to rescue in a typhoon disaster is to move ahead.

Before the arrival of the typhoon, it is important for boats that are in coastal operation or fishing to listen to the typhoon forecast and warning of the weather station and return to the harbor for safety in advance. In the area where the weather forecast can not be received, some typhoon common sense can be used to predict the arrival of typhoon and then take measures in time.

For ships sailing on the sea, there is another way to escape the danger brought by typhoons. According to the direction of typhoon movement, meteorologists and navigators classify typhoons as dangerous semicircle and navigable semicircle. When a ship is unlucky to enter a dangerous semicircle, it should change heading as soon as possible and get out of the typhoon.

In folk, there are some proverbs about typhoon such as "where is the running cloud, there is typhoons ", "if there are long waves with no winds, fierce wind will fall immediately" and so on. The scientific name of “the running cloud” is "cumulus fractus", which can occur in the outer ring of typhoon with vigour like running horses. When you see this "cumulus fractus", it is a sign that the city will be hit by a typhoon. The scientific basis of "if there are long waves with no winds, fierce wind will fall immediately" is that the typhoon lowest wind pressure in the center of the typhoon and gale in cloud wall area often makes great waves and spread in all directions. Because of the decrease of wind power and comsumption of energy, wave height decreases gradually and the cycle becomes longer, forming a surge wave. Surge waves travel two to three times faster than typhoons. As a result, some surge waves can be seen in the east coast two to three days before typhoons affect our country. The ships at sea can only predict the arrival of the typhoon and return to harbor in time to avoid typhoon through the change of spreading of surge waves.
