Overall situation of the disaster
On July 22nd at 7:45, a 6.6 magnitude earthquake occurred at the border of Min County and Zhang County in Dingxi City, Gansu Province, with a depth of 20 kilometers. The earthquake caused 1.769 million people to be affected, 95 people to die, and 397000 people to be urgently relocated and resettled in 37 counties (districts) in 6 cities (autonomous prefectures), including Dingxi, Longnan, and Linxia in Gansu; 157000 houses collapsed and 837000 were damaged to varying degrees; The direct economic loss was 24.42 billion yuan.
