The online map of floods, wind and hail disasters distribution in the Jianghuai Jianghan region of the Sichuan Basin, China from the end of June to early July 2013, was sourced from the China Natural Disaster Atlasb in 2013 and was published by China Map Publishing House in February 2015. The authors are the Office of the National Disaster Reduction Commission, the Disaster Relief Department of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, and the National Disaster Reduction Center of the Ministry of Civil Affairs. The scale of this map is 1:60000000.

Overall situation of the disaster

From June 29th to July 7th, there was a heavy rainfall process from the southwest region to the Jianghuai and Jianghan regions, accompanied by strong convective weather such as lightning, strong winds, and hail. Heavy rainfall has caused floods, wind and hail, landslides and other disasters in Anhui, Hubei, Chongqing, Sichuan and other provinces (municipalities directly under the central government), resulting in 13.198 million people affected, 52 deaths, 15 missing, and 757000 people urgently relocated and resettled; 47000 collapsed houses, 70000 severely damaged houses, and 176000 generally damaged houses; The affected area of crops is 698.4 dry hectares, of which 36.6 dry hectares have been lost; Direct economic losses amounted to 14.84 billion yuan.
