From July 2006 to November 2007, he was the director of the China Meteorological Administration forecast disaster reduction department. From October 2001 to July 2006, he was the director of Gansu Meteorological Bureau. From June 1995 to October 2001, he was served as director of the National Meteorological Center Climate Applications, director of Personnel, assistant director of the Center.

Achievement

He won the second prize of scientific and technological progress of the China Meteorological Administration, the first prize of the National Meteorological Center Science and Technology Progress Award, the first prize of the Gansu Provincial Meteorological Bureau of science and technology work award. He published more than 20 papers in core journals. He is the editor-in-chief of the "Dryland Meteorological Research", "China Climate Division", "China's Severe Weather Atlas".
