Achievement
He has published more than 140 scientific papers, more than 120 conference papers and 7 monographs. He was a standing member of the International Committee on precipitation and precipitation (ICCP, EC; 1988-1996); he is an associate fellow of the Third World Academy of Sciences - International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP, 1987-, now). In 1993, he was awarded the "scientific contribution award" by the international society for natural disasters". In 1998, the world's highest award for disaster prevention and reduction - United Nations Disaster Prevention award. Awarded the "national key scientific and Technological Achievements Award", "the first prize of scientific and technological progress of the Chinese Academy of Sciences" and "the two prize of national scientific and technological progress".
