Unresponsive patients are easy to suffer from airway congestion due to the drop of the tongue. For such a patient, if you are outside hospital, it is generally recommended that the patient be placed in a recovery position while making an emergency call. The specific methods is as follows: first, the upper limb of one side of the patient is placed at a right angle, and then the lower limb of the opposite side is tucked under the knee of the lower limb of the other side with the other arm placing on the cheek of the patient's face, and then turn the patient over, which is called stable lateral position. The benefits are that the vomit of the patient will flow out smoothly so that avoid the blockage of the airway and affecting the patient's breathing.
