Introduction to the national emblem : The British national emblem is the Royal emblem. The central design is a coat of arms, the upper left and lower right corner of the shield are three Golden Lions on a red background, symbolizing England; the upper right corner is a red lion standing in the upper half of a yellow background, symbolizing Scotland; and the lower left corner is a golden harp on a blue background, symbolizing Northern Ireland. Each side of the emblem is guarded by a crowned lion representing England and a unicorn of Scotland.

Brief Introduction

Britain, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, began to form a feudal system in the 7th century. England was united in 829, known as the "Anglo Saxon era". In 1066, William, Duke of Normandy, conquered England and established the Normandy Dynasty. It was declared a republic on May 19, 1649.

Britain is located in the western part of Europe. It consists of the island of Great Britain (including England, Scotland and Wales), the northeast of Ireland and some small islands. It faces the European continent across the North Sea, the Dover Strait and the English Channel. The total length of the coastline is 11450 km, it belongs to marine temperate broad-leaved forest climate.

In January 1973, Britain joined the European community. In June 2016, Britain held a referendum on the relationship between Britain and Europe, and the Brexit faction won 51.9% support. Britain decided to leave the EU 43 years after joining the EU. In November 2018, Britain and the European Union reached a Brexit agreement and a political declaration on the framework of future UK EU relations, which will come into force after being approved by the UK, the European Parliament and the EU Council. Since 2019, the Brexit agreement has been rejected three times in the house of Commons. On July 23, British Conservative MP Boris Johnson was elected the leader of the conservative party. On July 24, Johnson succeeded Theresa May as the new British Prime Minister. At 23:00 on January 31, 2020, Britain officially left the EU.
