Introduction
On June 24, 2016, the Northwest Institute of Eco-Environmental Resources of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (hereinafter referred to as the Northwest Research Institute) was established in Lanzhou.It is the omprehensive basic scientific research, engineering technology development and the development of ecological systems, environmental changes, resource utilization and sustainable development on the basis of natural conditions of cold and arid under natural conditions and social and economic development. Tripartite assessment and other work for the country to solve the Northwest region in the ecological, environmental, resources, agriculture and other areas of major issues to provide scientific basis, technical support and decision support. It provides scientific basis for the decision-making and implementation of ecological environment restoration, resource exploration and utilization, major project construction and socio-economic sustainable development in northwest China, with the special ecology, environment and resources of arid and alpine northwest.
