Introduction
As El Salvador's national disaster risk management system, it has a capable human resource portfolio that ensures that individuals, communities and critical infrastructure are protected from the adverse effects of disasters; it builds and strengthens capacity in the following areas: prevention and mitigation of disaster management risks; restoration and reconstruction of social, economic and environmental conditions affected by emergencies or disasters.
