Flooding in Northeast China in 2013

Since August 14, 2013, the disaster in Northeast China has been serious. On August 15, the Songhua River Basin experienced the worst flood since 1998. The Ministry of Water Resources issued an orange warning for the flood. It is expected that the water level of the Songhua River, Nenjiang River and Heilongjiang River will still rise. As of 16:00 on August 19, 2013, 3.737 million people had been affected in Liaoning, Jilin and Heilongjiang provinces. As of August 30, 2013, the direct economic losses caused by floods in some parts of Northeast China were 78 million.
