The most important thing is to immediately call the police and aggressively fight the fire, so that the fire brigade can quickly arrive and put out the fire as soon as possible. We should not only try to put out the fire or rescue items and forget to call the police because in this case, small fire may develop into severe disaster.

If someone is in fire, you are supposed to save the person first. While saving, you must focus on the elderly, children and those most exposed to fire. If you are not sure if there is anyone in the fire, you should look it up as soon as possible.

When a fire broke out at home or from outside, family members should evacuate to a safe place in time according to the fire situation.

When the fire in the home, do everything possible to escape to outside, where is far away from the fire, to protect yourselves.

In order to do it, the following points should be achieved:

Don't open doors and Windows when closed rooms catch fire. If the fire is small, you can put it out with a bucket or a basin. If the fire has been burning, call the neighbors and jointly prepare firefight work, and then open doors and windows, go into the indoor to put out fire. If the fire is temporarily difficult to control, the flammable and explosive items such as the indoor liquefied gas tank should be dragged out.

(1) When opening the door, touch the handle with the back of your hand. Do not open the door if the handle is hot or smoke is coming out of the door. Touch with the back of hand first is because metal door handle transmits heat faster than door frame and the back of hand will withdraw as soon as it feels hot.

(2)If the door handle is not hot, open a seam to see if it is ready to go out. Keep your feet under the door to prevent the heat from rushing in. If the door is on fire, the house will be filled with gusts when opening the door, which will help the fire. So you should make sure that all doors and windows are closed before going out.

(3) Creeping forward because the smoke diffuses from the top to the bottom, which means that the closer it is to the ground, the thinner the smoke is, the easier it is to breathe, and the clearer the vision is.

Reminds of self-help

In the case of fire, people in fire are often in extreme panic, which leads some people to jump through windows to escape. Such blind behavior often leads to serious consequences. So, avoid jumping directly from the high jump in fire. In case of necessity, residents under the third floor can use local materials. They can use wetted bed sheets, curtains to make a rope and then tight it onto heating pipe and other solid objects. However, if you use this method to escape, you should be more careful in order to prevent injures and casualties.

(4) If the exit is blocked, try to open the window or go to the balcony. Note that you should try to close the balcony door when you get out.

(5) If you live upstairs and it is not too high from the ground and the landing point is not hard, you can catch the window and hang yourself out the window with straight arms to shorten the distance to the ground. This may result in a limb sprain and fracture. After all, it is an active survival. Before jumping off, release one hand and use this hand and feet to prop up and and then jump. One may jump from a height only when there is nothing else to do. However, you had better be able to use all around useful things (such as sheet and so on). You can tear them and make a long rope and fasten on furniture, then, climb to the ground along rope.

(6) If you want to break the window to escape, you can use whatever you catch casually (relatively hard thing) to smash glass. Then clean the broken glass sheet of the window, and escape through the window. Shut the door, open the window and shout for help without resort.

(7) When asking for help on the balcony, close the back doors and windows first. If there are no balconies, wait for rescue and try to prevent the fire from spreading at the same time.

(8) Pour water on wood and windows to prevent fire from spreading. Cover doors and windows with a damp cloth to prevent smoke and flames from entering the room. If there is fire in neighboring room, do not open the door and try to move from the window or balcony. If you open door rashly, hot smoke may enter into your room to make you suffocate. A fire occurs suddenly when you are in sleep, do not panic. Lie prone on the ground and crawl forward. There will be residual fresh air near the ground, so keep breathing gentle.

(9) In case of fire, make full use of indoor water, wet towel, cloth, etc. to cover your mouth and nose. If carrying the baby to evacuate, you can cover the baby's face with wet cloth and protect with hand, then run or crawl out.
