In July 21, 2012, the heavy rainfall in Beijing caused flash floods and mudslide in some parts. About 1,602,000 people in the city were affected; 65,000 people in Fangshan district and tourists were transferred to safe places; 1200 people were recused; there were severe flooding in the inner Beijing and 95 roads were broken by water; Flights were delayed and a large number of passengers were stranded at the capital’s airport. As of August 5, 79 people dead by the disaster and the direct economy loss was up to 100 billion.
