Liquefied petroleum gas
When the domestic liquefied petroleum gas tank catches fire, the key to extinguishing the fire is to cut off the gas source. Whether it is the fire in tank hose or valve mouth leakage, the flame will quickly extinguish as long as you close the valve. In case of small flame, you can close the valve with wet towel. If the fire continues for a long period of time and the valve dysfuctions, you can use wet wool towel to whip flame root, or grasp a dry powder extinguishing to spout the flame along the direction of the flame. After extinguishing the fire, use wet towel, soap, yellow mud, etc. to block the air leakage area. Furthermore, move LPG quickly to the outdoor open area and wait for relevant departments to deal with.
Electrical appliance
In case of electrical fire, the power should be cut off first, and then use dry powder, carbon dioxide extinguisher to put it out. Don’t fight with water for fear that it may cause electric shock. It should be noted that blown fuse is a warning of excessive power consumption. At this time, don’t replace with a thicker fuse because it cannot fuse timely in case of short circuit. It is not advisable for some families to place electric lights in their wardrobe for baking. Similarly, do not place combustible materials near electric heaters.
If electric water heater is used, fuse holder with appropriate current size should be installed on the special line to prevent the poor contact, resulting in leakage of electricity and fire. At the same time, check whether the automatic adjustment device is damaged so as to avoid the fire after the explosion caused by overheating. Before using the electric water heater, it must be filled with water to prevent electricity leakage due to the dry burning of the electric heat pipe.
