Map description

Map source

The online map of China's main mountain ranges is from the atlas of China National Geographic Map, prepared by the Editorial Committee of China National Geographic Map, and published by China Encyclopedia Press in November 2011. The scale in the map is 1:43000000. The darker the red line in the figure, the higher the altitude.

There are three main east-west mountain ranges: the northernmost column is Tianshan-Yinshan-Yanshan; the middle column is Kunlun Mountain-Qinling Mountains; the southernmost column is Nanling Mountains.

The mountains from northeast to southwest are mostly distributed in the east, and the mountain range is low. There are also three main mountains: the westmost column is Daxinganling--Taihang Mountain--Wushan--Wuling Mountain--Xuefeng Mountain; the middle column includes Changbai Mountain-- The hills of eastern Liaoning-the hills of Shandong and Fujian and Zhejiang; the eastmost column is the Taiwan mountains rising from Thailand. Most of the mountains from the northwest to the southeast are distributed in the west, and from the north to the south, there are Altai Mountains, Qilian Mountains, and Himalayas. The north-south mountain ranges run through central China, including the Helan Mountain, Liupan Mountain, and Hengduan Mountain.
