Brief Introduction

The Republic of Namibia (English: The Republic of Namibia) is located in Southwest Africa, north of Angola and Zambia, east of Botswana, south of South Africa. Altitude of 1000-2000 meters, drought and less rain, belongs to subtropical, semi desert climate. The country is divided into 13 administrative regions and 50 local governments, with the capital Windhoek.

From the 15th to 18th century, the Dutch, Portuguese and British colonists invaded successively. It was occupied by Germany in 1890. In 1960, the people's organization of Southwest Africa was established and began to fight for national independence. In 1966, the United Nations General Assembly changed the name of South West Africa to Namibia according to the decision of the people of Southwest Africa. Independence was achieved in 1978.

Namibia is a vast territory with few people and rich mineral resources, mining, fishery and animal husbandry are the three traditional pillar industries, and the manufacturing industry is underdeveloped.
