Introduction to the national emblem : The national emblem of Algeria was formulated in 1976, with an outstretched palm as the central pattern, two pigeons standing on the thumb and little finger, holding the olive branch of peace, and the other three fingers standing in the sky, symbolizing the three major revolutions of the country: industrial, land and cultural revolution.

Algeria (Arabic: الجزائر), full name of the people's Democratic Republic of Algeria, is located in northern Africa. The official language is Algerian Arabic and French is spoken. Islam is the state religion. The capital is Algiers.

In 2013, Algeria had a total population of 37.9 million. Most of them are Arabs, followed by Berbers (about 20% of the total population).

Algeria's economy ranks fourth in Africa, behind South Africa, Nigeria and Egypt. The hydrogen carbide industry (collectively referred to as oil and natural gas) is the pillar of Algeria 's national economy.

Algeria has the fifth largest natural gas reserves in the world and the second largest natural gas exporter in the world. Algeria's oil reserves are the fourteenth in the world.
