Introduction
The Comision Permanente de Contingencias (COPECO) is Honduras's national risk management system that coordinates public and private disaster relief efforts. The Permanent Honduran Emergency Management Committee is part of the Central American government's disaster relief agency and is known as the Central American Coordination Center for The Prevention of Natural Disasters. The Permanent Emergency Management Committee of Honduras was created in the context of the Central American Integration System.
