Introduction
Ministry of Water Resources Engineering Research Center of mountain torrents geological disaster prevention and control engineering depends on the Yangtze River Scientific Committee of the Yangtze River Water Conservancy Commission to build and is reorganized by the Design Institute of the Yangtze River and Hydrology Bureau of the Yangtze River Commission. Under of help of country, it mainly developed study on the mechanism and risk assessment technology, monitoring and warning technology, engineering management and emergency rescue technology of mountain torrents geological disasters. Since the research center was built, around the study on prevention and control of mountain torrents geological disasters, many practical work about disaster prevention plan and disaster reduction paradigm were developed and got a lot of achievements.
