Introduction
The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) is one of the external bureaux of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport of Japan. Established under the Meteorological Operations Act, jMA is responsible for meteorological observation, earthquake, volcanic and tsunami disaster monitoring in Japan.
