Hydrogen ion concentration (estimation) online calculator

(unit )

App description

Formula:

Hydrogen ion concentration nmol = [H+] = 24 * (PaCO2/HCO3)

PaCO2= CO2 arterial partial pressure

HCO3 - is a kind of negatively charged particles, called bicarbonate. The typical substances containing bicarbonate are sodium bicarbonate, calcium bicarbonate, etc.

H2CO3 (carbonic acid) = HCO3 - (bicarbonate) + H + (hydrogen ion)

H + is acidic and HCO3 - is alkaline.

Usage example

HCO3 (mEq/L):20

PaCO2 (mmHg):40

Click "Calculate" to output the result.

H + nmol [Ph] = 48 (unit)
