Geographical situation of mountains in Northeast of China

As far as the mountains of Northeast China are concerned, the direction of most of mountains is from north to east, followed by north to west and south to east, the general height is about 500 ~ 1200 meters. The western Daxing'anling Mountains is from the upper reaches (Mohe County) of Heilongjiang Province to the southwest extension to the upper reaches of the West Rumulun River, a total length is about 1400 km, the elevation from north to south is gradually increased.

Two slope of mountains is obvious asymmetry, the west slope is slow transitted to Inner Mongolia Plateau, and the east slope is steep, the southern part of mountains is in Inner Mongolia, the highest peak is Huanggang Liang Mountain, the altitude is about 2029 meters. The southern end of Daxing'anling Mountains is connected with the eastern part of the Yanshan Mountains.

There are Qilaotu Mountains, Songling and Nulu Erhu Mountains, and the Yiwulv Mountain, they are collectively referred to Western Liaoning Mountains, the elevation is 500-1000 meters. North of the Xiaoxing'anling is the boundary between Heilongjiang and Songhua River, the length is about 360 km, the width is about 100 ~300 km, the southeast of the mountain is high and the northwest, the elevation of southeast is about 800~1000 meters and northwest gradually reduces to 300 meters. The eastern mountains is Wandashan Mountains, which is the side of Wusuli River, the extending to southwest are Laoye Ridge, Zhang Guangcai, Changbai Mountains and other mountains respectively, the end is Qianshan Mountains along the Yalu River, a total length is about 1360 km. Some of which is Bai Yunfeng Mountain (Changbai Mountain), the elevation is 2691 meters that is the highest peak for Northeast of China.
