Historical data of flood and drought disaster in northeast of China from 1745 to 1897

At the end of seventeen Century, governors entitled Jilin-General and Heilongjiang-General and built station troops to open up wasteland in order to defense aggression, which also contributed to the agricultural development in north and east parts in Northeast of China as well as its records about flood and drought disaster. After nineteenth Century, the documents have been continuous, and departments in charge with these issues in provinces and municipalities have done a lot of researches on flood and drought records.

In addition, since 1984, Songliao water Conservancy Bureau compiled Songhuajiang Annals and Liaohe Annals, other authorities in the Northeast area have started to write water conservancy annals that collected many flood and drought data have been published one after another. When water conservancy designing institutions to make engineering designs, they will sort and analysis the floods and droughts' information of project sites. For example, the Northeast survey design and Research Institute of Ministry of water resources sorted and analyzed the data about Yalu River and Tumen River.
