The basic situation of floods in Songhua River

The Songhua river is 4 meters in depth and 1 kilometer in width. In general,the river is frozen over from November to April. The composition of Songhua basin is as follows : Nenjiang River,the area is 297 thousand square kilometers, accounting for 53.3% of the total area; the area of second Songhua River basin is about 73 thousand and 400 square kilometers, accounting for 13.2% ; the area of pine stem is 186 thousand and 400 square kilometers, accounting for 33.5%.

The Songhua River is the largest tributary river of the Heilong River. It is ranked the fifth river in China, which is 556 thousand and 800 square kilometers. It takes up 44.9% in a total area , so it is the largest river in northeast of China. The source of the river is Heavenly Lake which is an elevation of 2,189 meters at the top of the Changbai Mountain. The water falls down from the Heavenly Lake and forms a waterfall.
