Geological Map of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, China
The photograph shows the magnificent appearance of crater No. 3 of Ashkule active volcano group in Kunlun Mountains. The active volcanic group consists of more than 50 volcanic craters with an altitude of 5100 M. After several eruptions since the Quaternary, it is still active on May 27, 1951. Lake Ashkel in the north is a volcanic rock barrier with a spectacular view.
