The Hong Kong Observatory is a government department that monitors and forecasts weather and warns of weather-related disasters. The Observatory also monitors and assesses the level of radiation in Hong Kong and provides meteorological and geophysical services to the general public and the marine, aerospace, industrial and engineering sectors.
