Title
Member of the Chinese Academy of engineering and a specialist in hydrology and water resources. He is now the honorary director of Institute of water resources, the Chinese academy of water resources. He is also the vice-chairman of the Global Water Partnership (China), the vice chairman of the China Natural Resources Society. At the same time he is the national disaster prevention and mitigation committee experts.

Work Experience
Since 1985, he has been working in the Institute of water resources, served as engineer, senior engineer, he was promoted to Professor of Engineering in 1994, he served as chief engineer of the Institute of water resources from 1997. he served as director of water resources from 2001 to date, he began to enjoy the government of the State Council special allowance from 2001, he was elected a fellow of the Academy of Engineering Chinese in 2005.
Achievement
He has won the National Science and Technology Progress Award two prize four times, the provincial and ministerial level reward 9 times. He published more than 300 academic papers and 30 monographs. He hosted and participated in a number of national key projects of science and technology, the national key basic research development plan project (973), natural science fund project, the national major project. He also presided over and participated in a number of national, provincial major planning projects. And he served as the Chinese expert group leader and experts in more than 10 major international cooperation projects.
