Mathematical Collection Online Calculation: Intersection Online Calculator, A∩B Calculator

Classification of collections:

Union: A collection of elements belonging to A or belonging to B is called a union of A and B, and is denoted as A∪B (or B∪A), and is read as “A and B” (or “B and A"), ie A∪B={x|x∈A, or x∈B}

For example, the complete set U = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5} A = {1, 3, 5} B = {1, 2, 5}.

The two sets contain the five elements 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, regardless of the number of occurrences of the element, as long as the element appears in both sets. Then say A∪B={1,2,3,5}. The shaded part in the figure is A∩B.

Intersection: A collection of elements belonging to A and belonging to B is called the intersection of A and B, and is denoted as A∩B (or B∩A), and is read as “A intersection B” (or “B intersection A” "), ie A∩B={x|x∈A, and x∈B}

For example, the complete set U = {1, 2, 3, 4, 5} A = {1, 3, 5} B = {1, 2, 5}. Then since both A and B have 1,5, A∩B={1,5}.

Poor: A set of elements that belong to A and not belong to B is called the difference between A and B (set)
