Online calculator to reduce seat valves and fittings

App description

Enter the value and click "Calculate" to display the result

K = K value of the total valve

K1=Reducing the K value of the seat

β = dvalve / dpipe

KR = reduced K value

KE = increased k value

The reduced seat valve is broken down into three sections: the reducer (contraction) section, the segmented valve, and the amplifier section.

The K value is related to the size of the valve in the pipe, each segment is determined.

The full K value is the valve's K value of the reducer, the segmented valve, and the amplifier. Since the valve part K value depends on the seat diameter instead of the pipe diameter, it must be adjusted by a correction factor to determine the correct K value of the pipe diameter.

The valve correction factor is the ratio of the seat diameter divided by the pipe diameter (commonly referred to as β) to the fourth power.

Usage example

Reduce the K value of the seat: 45

Reduced K value: 40

Increased k value: 3

β:10
